NBA and publisher 2K today announced that they have extended their partnership with a “multi-year deal”. Exactly how many years is not specified.
This follows what 2K simultaneously announces to be the best-selling title in the 13-year-old series, NBA2k11, with sales in excess of five million copies.
That game, you might remember, had an easy time of it last year, when competitor EA decided to pull their NBA Elite 11 on the eve of release.
Apart from a continuation of the NBA2K series, the pair also threatens to explore new gaming opportunities in online and social media platforms.
