A new version of the Windows Phone operating system isn’t too far off, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has revealed.
Talking at a Tokyo press conference, the company boss said that the new OS “is now much more global” and that it would add “over 500 new features”.
While another press conference is due to reveal more details later today, Ballmer did state that: “We’re pushing a different approach to user interface design, an approach in which literally right on the home screen of the Windows Phone, you, our developers, can provide integrated experiences across your own and third-party applications that are alive and vibrant in real-time for our joint customers.”
But Ballmer has a confession about their phone business as well, saying: “We came to market with Windows Phone about a year later than I wish we had, shame on us,”
