Spec Ops delayed, Agent still in development

A few updates on Take-Two’s roster of games from their 2011 fiscal results.

The Yager-developed, almost-forgotten Spec Ops: The Line is now on for a first-half FY 2013 release, meaning it could launch any time between April and September of calendar 2012. Announced in late 2009, publisher 2K Games likes to think the sandy TPS will turn out to be its “next big shooter“; not this year, then.

On an ever vague note, Rockstar’s secretive PS3-exclusive Agent is still in development. The news was confirmed during the company’s earnings call, though no other details were forthcoming.

At last check back in 2009, Rockstar planned Agent for a 2010 release. Perhaps E3 next month will reveal more.
