Despite big name games like Uncharted 3, Gears of War 3, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim slated for release later this year on current-generation hardware, we’re gamers, so we’re always thinking about what’s next.
And according to Ubisoft UK boss Rob Cooper, the next generation of systems can’t come soon enough.
“There have been tons of technological advances since the last round of consoles was released, and we’d love to see those advances included in new consoles sooner rather than later,” Cooper said. “That’s because the sooner we have the next generation of consoles to build on, the sooner we can leverage those advances to create the next generation of video games.”
He does make a good point. The future is always an exciting prospect, but when is the time right for the next-generation system cycle to roll out? 2012? 2013? Later? What do you think?
