In a recent live stream from the bowels of Icarus Studios it was announced that Fallen Earth would be transitioning in some capacity over to GamersFirst, which is the same company that bought and resurrected the failed MMO APB.
Icarus then did a second follow up live stream where they discussed some of the details of the deal with GamersFirst. As it stands right now it appears that Icarus Studios will continue to develop and support the game but all server hosting will be handled by GamersFirst. There was also quick mention about making Fallen Earth free-to-play which would make sense given the transition to GamersFirst, but nothing concrete was discussed or revealed.
Hopefully there will be more details unveiled of what’s planned and how the transition to GamersFirst-based servers will affect players. Until then we’ll just have to sit back and speculate.
