Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition coming July 12

Skyrim is just months away. The fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series by Bethesda is making headlines for sure, just like its predecessor, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion did upon its release. For those of you who missed out on the fourth in the series (or if you just want to replay it before Skyrim sucks your life away), Bethesda is releasing a 5th Anniversary Edition of Oblivion on July 12 for $29.99 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The Anniversary Edition includes the full game, plus its two expansions Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. The amount of gameplay you’ll have, for the price of thirty bucks, is just staggering.

Some sweet icing on the deal comes in the North American version: the “collector’s steelbook” is a metal case covered in Daedric (the gods within the game’s universe) symbols, you get a full color map of the world of Cyrodiil (the land within the game) and the Shivering Isles, and “The Making of Oblivion”, a behind-the-scenes look at the making…of Oblivion. Oh, and you also get a $10 mail-in rebate towards the purchase of Elder Scrolls V:┬áSkyrim and a Skyrim strategy guide. There, that should effectively steal away your free time.
