Medal of Honor developer Danger Close and Battlefield developer DICE will reportedly take turns in releasing a game each every two years, much like the project rotation cycle Infinity Ward and Treyarch have adopted in releasing Call of Duty games.
“In general, we’re giving studios a full two-year cycle to get a game built and polished to maximum quality,” said EA Games Label boss Frank Gibeau. EA will “continue to follow our rotation strategy,” he said.
Considering DICE will be releasing Battlefield 3 this year and EA confirming that a sequel to Medal of Honor is being worked on, that timeline seems to support Gibeau’s words. Will DICE be working on another long-awaited sequel in the meantime, maybe?
