Good news everyone; E3 2012 is slightly less than a year away. After year-over-year rise in attendance, the show will return on June 5 – 7 in 2012. We’ll go ahead and say that pits Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft and Sony to strut their stuff at press conferences on June 4.
A grand total of 46,800 people visited the show this year, which is a slight rise from last year’s 45,600. It’s all still a fair ways off from 2005’s mind-numbing 70,000 attendance record, though.
ESA CEO Michael D. Gallagher said: “This year’s E3 propelled video games to the pinnacle of the entertainment world. The industry’s innovation, creativity, and excitement combined to show the world the ultimate entertainment experience.
“The positive news generated by the event reached all parts of the world, and we are looking forward to building on this great momentum in 2012.”
