The first proper look at a console version of Battlefield 3 will be debuting on Jimmy Fallon later this week, of all places. The show has a game demo scheduled for each day of the week, in fact. Videogame week, they call it.
Yesterday Activision Publishing chief executive Eric Hirshberg, along with Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling and Sledgehammer’s Glen Schofield were on hand to show off Modern Warfare 3. The rest of the week will be filled by big boys Gears of War 3 (today), Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (Wed), Battlefield 3 (Thu), and an appearance from Nintendo (Fri).
As recent executive quotes would have us believe, the console version of Battlefield 3 was on show at E3 last week, though, according to GI, Thursday will be the first time we’ll know exactly what we’re looking at.
Modern Warfare 3‘s appearance on the show is available now. It shows off the first footage from the Spec Ops mode, next to the already-familiar New York gameplay. Catch it below.
