Pure and Split/Second developer Black Rock were hit by layoffs early last month, but it would seem that the studio has found its feet and is back working on a new title.
NowGamer has found a job listing for a Game Director to join the developer. It states: “The Game Director works alongside the game development team to direct development of the game. The game is created with Unity and the role requires an in-depth understanding of free-to-play gaming and gaming in general.”
Unity is an engine mainly used for iOS titles, so it’s a pretty safe bet saying that the developer is moving to mobile devices. Couple this with the fact that their owner, Disney Interactive, is restructuring for a digital focus and it feels like a sure thing.
