Activision formalizes Black Ops’ latest DLC, Zombie mode goes to Shangri-La, new Double XP weekend coming

Activision has formally brought forth new details about the next Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC, which was in rumor form just yesterday. Three very specific details are revealed; the name, launch date, and price.

The Annihilation map pack will launch on June 28th for 1200 Microsoft Points. As usual, it’s a month-long exclusive to Xbox 360.

Contents of the pack are also confirmed: another four multiplayer maps (Hangar 18, Drive-In, Silo, Hazard) and a new zombie level, Shangri-La, “an exotic and mysterious map filled with deadly traps, dark secrets and innovative gameplay that will challenge even the most daring Zombie hunters,” according to Treyarch head Mark Lamia.

Strap in for a new Double XP weekend as well. It’s set to kick off on July 1st.
