Xbox 360 in Japan; 1.5 million sold

Microsoft has managed to crawl past a new sales mark in Japan, Japanese site Wazap reports (via).

After launching in 2005 and hitting the 1 million mark in back in 2009, the company has now reached 1.5 million Xbox 360s sold.

It’s still awfully slow going compared to native competitors Nintendo and Sony who at last count had sold over 10 million Wiis and 5 million PS3s, though after Kinect’s launch late last year, the console’s sales did almost triple. So that’s something, at least?
