Naming just one game at this year’s E3 the ultimate, absolute best title is harder than it sounds. You’re better off pulling a name out of a hat rather than trying to choose between Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, Tomb Raider and others.
However EEDAR has sussed out the “most promising” game of the show. Using page views and opinions from top gaming sites IGN and Gametrailers, the organization has found none other than BioWare’s Mass Effect 3 to have the most potential coming out of this year’s show. The game was the most viewed title on IGN and the third most viewed on Gametrailers, which combined puts it ahead of aforementioned titles along with the likes of Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Modern Warfare 3.
Patrick Buechner, Vice President of Marketing for EA’s BioWare studios offered his view on the game’s success, saying: “We are excited to see that there was such a high level of interest in Mass Effect 3 during E3, especially when you consider how many amazing games were on display at this year’s show. The team is making an incredible game that will attract both our loyal fans and players who are new to the franchise, making for a huge event launch at retail in March.”
As promising as BioWare’s next may be, it’s also the furthest out; Mass Effect 3 launches in March next year.
