Call of Duty: Black Ops, which got its latest batch of DLC just today, has been crowned the UK’s best-selling game of all time.
The Treyarch-developed title grabs the crown from last 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, which in turn took it from the DS’ Dr Kawashima last August.
According to data collector GFK Chart-Track, Black Ops‘ sales as of June 25th stood at 3,722,411. Modern Warfare 2‘s were 3,702,410. We have a winner.
Says Activision’s UK MD Andrew Brown of the achievement: “This is an outstanding achievement for the development team at Treyarch and the amazing Call of Duty community.”
All eyes on Modern Warfare 3 then. Will the franchise one-up itself once more?
