Activision has announced Call of Duty XP today, an event to be held in LA where, for a fee or $150, players can enter a 12-acre compound and give the latest Call of Duty a whirl with all proceeds going to the Call of Duty Endowment fund. It’ll “feel like you stepped into the game,” as Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg puts it.
The software giant is expecting 6,000 Call of Duty fans to show up to the BlizzCon-like two-day event. And they just might; the premiere of Modern Warfare 3‘s multiplayer will be on offer, after all.
Players will also be able to play the cooperative Spec Ops survival mode, Activision promises to fully reveal the Call of Duty Elite service, and then there’s the $1 million tournament. For the nitty gritty deets, check the event’s official site here.
