The official PlayStation.Blog has made it known that PlayStation Plus, Sony’s subscription service for the PlayStation Network, turns one this week. In order to celebrate, the powers that be aren’t asking for gifts or cards, they intend to mark the one year anniversary by giving Plus subscribers the gift of an extended life. Well, an extended digital life on the Plus subscription plan anyway.
Available only until July 11, the birthday celebration offer gives PSN users who purchase a 3-month or 1-year PlayStation Plus package an additional 1 month or 3 months, respectively, tacked on to their subscription. Essentially, it works out to the buyers either getting 15 months for the price of 12 or 4 months for the price of 3. With the Plus service offering discounts, free DLC, free games, and other perks, PSN users should be all over this.
It is better to give than receive, but if the PSN is giving stuff away, I will receive all day long.
