European launch of Splinter Cell Trilogy delayed

European fans of stealthy kills and madly advanced green-eyed goggles will have to wait to put Sam Fisher through his hi-def paces as Ubisoft has confirmed that the re-release of Splinter CellSplinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, all contained within the Splinter Cell Trilogy pack, has been delayed to late September.

The game was supposed to be released during the first half of 2011, which we can all agree failed to happen.

Splinter Cell Trilogy will feature the first three games in the series, all in HD and stereoscopic 3D, which is quite different since the last time we played them. While those enhancements may be worthy of admiration, the multiplayer components have been stripped, making it slightly less appealing than if they were there.
