Uncharted movie back on track with new director, writer

It appears the highly anticipated movie adaptation of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is taking baby steps to actually begin production as it’s been reported that Limitless director Neil Burger is finalizing negotiations to get on-board with the project after former head of it, David O. Russell, jumped ship. Burger is set to be both writer and director of the film.

Along with this news, it appears the project not only lost its former director, but also its rumored star Mark Wahlberg, who was pegged to play the role of Nathan Drake. This could mean the rest of the also rumored cast might be out of a job as well; Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, Scarlett Johansson and/or Amy Adams.

Someone should probably give Nathan Fillion a call; he just got a second chance.
