Xbox 360 games will be compatible with Windows 8 capable PCs, rumors would have us believe.
Those with the upcoming OS installed will apparently be able to pop 360 discs right into their disc trays and play away, with access to the Xbox dashboard and Live services also available.
Sources of insideris.com have told the site there’s an Xbox Live Gold-like subscription fee involved but that PC players won’t be able to go head to head with 360 players online, at least not at first.
The same site also claims that “Xbox Live Games” — they presumably mean XBL Arcade games — will be playable on Windows 8 PCs and tablets. Microsoft is said to be aiming for the seamless user experience across all its Windows 8 devices.
All rumor then, nothing more.
