Microsoft’s credited the on-going momentum of Xbox 360, Xbox Live and Kinect for the 30% revenue growth its Entertainment & Devices Division saw in its fourth fiscal quarter of 2011 (ended June 30). The company included the bit in its Q4 and full year earnings report today.
Looking at the full year, revenues for the division were up an even more impressive 45%.
According to the report, the 360 has been the top-selling system in the US for the past year. In the quarter’s final month, Microsoft managed to sell 507,000 units, which has been said to be nearly twice as much as the nearest competitor.
For the full fiscal year, 13.7 million consoles were sold, up from 10.3m in the previous year.
