Portal 2 by far the best-selling Steam game of 2011

Portal 2 is responsible for a massive 42% boost in Steam games sales in the first half of 2011, according to research by analyst firm FADE.

The Valve first-person puzzler was the service’s number one game in terms of both revenue ($56.4m) and units sold (~1.3m), CVG reports, well ahead of the second place finish of Magicka which sold just under 800,000 copies and generated $6.2 million.
