Dragon Age II has vanished from Steam. And it’s probably no coincidence that this happened at the same time as Legacy, the RPG’s new story add-on was released.
It’s been made fairly clear that Valve doesn’t fancy publishers selling content directly to consumers, thereby passing the Steam store and denying Valve a piece of the pie. Dragon Age II does this by selling Legacy through an in-game store.
This is the likely reason Battlefield 3 won’t (probably) be appearing on the service either. Though this is yet to be officially-officially confirmed.
Those who’ve already bought the game from Steam can still buy the content, however newcomers looking to buy the game digitally will have to go elsewhere.
The Legacy DLC is this week available for all PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
