PlayStation 3’s worldwide sales are down by 25% year-over-year, Sony’s announced. 1.8 million systems were sold in the quarter ending June 30th, which is 600,000 less than it managed to shift a year ago.
The company is still forecasting an annual increase, however: 15 million units for the current fiscal year compared to last year’s 14.3 million.
As for software, things are looking up. Last year’s 24.8m units are up to 26.1m units in the last quarter.
PSP did good as well; it’s up from 1.2 million to 1.8 million. The aging PS2 dropped from 1.6 million to 1.4 million.
