Atlus’ wacky Catherine has sold 200,000 copies, the publisher has declared through festive means. “Congratulations. 200,000 sold in the first week,” reads the text decorating a Catherine-themed cake posted on the firm’s Twitter account.
When asked for further details, they replied: “We don’t comment on numbers. We just eat cake.” Isn’t that clever.
The game was yesterday confirmed to have become the biggest launch success of all time for the company, with it said to have exceeded even their wildest expectations.
Catherine has so far launched in the US only. An EU launch has been confirmed but is expected at a later date.
