The Wii version of this November’s Modern Warfare 3 is developed by none other than Treyarch, it’s been revealed.
Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling broke the bit on Activision’s social media manager Dan Amrich’s podcast (via), saying fans of the waggle are in for “an awesome experience.”
“The Wii has grown so much as a platform,” Bowling said. “The great thing is Treyarch proved that you can have an awesome experience on the Wii with Call of Duty. They’ll actually be handling that for Modern Warfare 3.”
The studio is indeed quite familiar with the platform, having brought two of its own Call of Duty games — World at War and Black Ops — over to the system.
Look for MW3 starting November 8th worldwide.
