According to the latest issue of Xbox World 360, BioWare has stitched a cooperative component into next year’s Mass Effect 3.
Citing “various sources,” the mag reportedly writes that “there will be a batch of 3 player co-op missions that run parallel to the main story, with each player assuming the role of a single squad mate.”
“It seems likely that this will happen,” it’s added, “and it’ll form part of EA’s Online Pass system.”
There have been a few suggestions and rumors about the RPG going online in the past, though nothing official so far. If said sources turn out to be valid, here’s hoping BioWare will make an announcement or two at Gamescom in a few weeks. One can hope.
