With digital gaming, friend lists, achievements and a whole host of other features, there’s really only one thing Steam’s been missing – trading.
Uh, well maybe not ‘missing’, but its arrival is certainly welcomed. That is to say that Valve has launched a ‘trading beta’ for its digital download service, allowing users to swap gifts, items and games.
The pros explain it best: “Any game you’ve purchased from the store as a gift, or received as an Extra Copy, can be traded to other users. They can be used to trade for other Gifts, or for items in Team Fortress 2.”
It’s a feature that’s bound to come in handy at some point down the line for avid Steam uses/TF2 players. For the rest of us? Well, carry on about your day, we guess.
