And the Google said ‘Let there be games’, and there were. That is to say that a games section goes live on Google+ — the search engine’s social networking service — today.
Games leading the first charge are several big names, including Angry Birds, Dragon Age Legends and Bejeweled Blitz. Not all users have access to the games just yet, but Google has said it hopes to grant everyone that access soon.
Updates on players’ progress will be shown in activities, and the service can be used to invite friends to games. You’ll have to head to the gaming tab to see all of these updates though, just to make sure they aren’t dominating the page for people that don’t care about them.
Seems like games have his the ground running on Google+. Could it become the new destination for social software?
