Rather predictably, Nintendo’s 3DS has sold quite well in the week following its dramatic price cut. Well, it has in Japan at the very least.
Nikkei, a Japanese publication, suggests that 207,000 units were sold between August 8 and August 14. The country saw the price drop from 25,000 yen ($317) to 15,000 yen ($190) last week.
As Siliconera reports, figures may differ when the Media-Create sales chart is posted, which will also track software. Pokemon Rumble Blast launched on the same day as the cut; will it prove to be the most successful game of the week? Most importantly, how will 3DS sales hold up as the year goes on?
