To what was previously a free-to-play FPS targeted to the mainland of China, Crytek has announced that Warface would indeed make its way to western markets as well. The military themed multiplayer shooter will land on western shores at some unspecified time during 2012.
It appears that the western version will be exactly as the Chinese one with co-op and player versus player being the core focus of the game. Just like the its Chinese counterpart, the western version will also feature a typical free-to-play model where micro-transaction is the central component. It’ll be available on the PC.
For fans of free-to-play games and free-to-play shooters specifically, Warface should be a welcome addition as it appears to be one of the higher quality offerings out there.
