Blizzard have decided to forego the whole ‘rumors and speculation’ affair concerning a console port of Diablo III and have pretty much confirmed that such a port is coming.
Lead designer Josh Mosqueira has said as much during a press conference at Gamescom this week (via Eurogamer). He didn’t make it official, but did say that the team “is very, very serious about bringing the Diablo III experience to the console.”
We found out that the team had been looking for console programmers a few months back.
“Today, we’re trying to build the best console team at Blizzard,” Mosqueira added. “We’re looking for programmers, designers, artists who think their dream job would be to bring Diablo to the console. Trust me, it is a dream job.
“All I can say is it’s going to be awesome. Stay tuned.”
Its a safe bet that a console version will indeed appear, then.
