Trine 2 set for a Q4 2011 release in Europe

Trine 2, the colorful and enchanting sequel to almost million-dollar seller Trine, still wanders without a release date set in stone, but official word from developer Frozenbyte and its partner in crime, Focus Home Entertainment, has the title set for a Q4 2011 release window, which means it’ll be out sometime before the end of the year.

Trine 2 takes¬†knight Pontius, thief Zoya and wizard Amadeus through new, hazardous, physics-based, side-scrolling puzzles and adventures with stunning visuals accompanied by an aural pleasure that is the soundtrack, orchestrated by Ari Pulkkinen, which can be yours on CD if you go for the Collector’s Edition rather than the normal one. Also, team up with up to three of your friends to play through the campaign in co-op mode, online and/or offline.

Look for Trine 2 later this year then, on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac.
