Skyrim’s first two DLC packs coming to Xbox Live first

Bethesda has announced that its upcoming open-world RPG and next game in the franchise, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, will see its first two downloadable content released on Xbox Live “30 days before it’s available anywhere else.” Microsoft sure must be partying over this one.

While Bethesda, in this particular case, describes the DLCs as two “add-on content drops,” it’s been said that instead of making lots of DLCs, the company would rather “do less DLC but bigger ones — you know, more substantial” and “closer to an expansion pack feel,” as explained by project lead Todd Howard. In any case, you’ll want to own the game on Xbox 360 if you plan on not having any kind of patience post-launch.

Skyrim will launch on November 11th for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
