Disney may be working on a surprise project: a sequel to last year’s Epic Mickey.
According to a Dtoid tipster, the company’s gauging interest for the title via a marketing survey, complete with different box arts and titles. Epic Mickey 2: Return of the Mad Doctor, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Epic Mickey 2: Mystery on Mean Street or just Epic Mickey 2 are the choices given.
This time Mickey won’t be going at it solo, either; it’ll be a split-screen co-op adventure with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit chosen as backup. The character seems to bring a unique gameplay aspect to the team, with him being able to use his ears to fly like a helicopter and make use of electricity.
What’s more, the title is apparently planned for Wii like its predecessor, but also PS3 and 360.
It’s all rumor for now, but with completed box arts being thrown around, it looks like the company may be quite serious about the undertaking.
