The beta for Tripware Interactive’s Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad has gone live for a select number of people.
Those that pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game now have access to three different maps across three different gameplay modes: Firefight, Countdown, and Territory.
There’s only about two weeks of play time until the actual game releases though, so we’d better fill our boots with s much practice as possible before we’re placed on the real front lines.
Tripware also announced that the game will allow server administrators to host ranked servers, tackling what the team calls “the walled garden approach” that other developers have towards multiplayer games. PC gamers can feel like they’ve won their own personal war right here, then.
