Sony will release the first PlayStation certified tablet to the US market this month. Much like Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play, this tablet will have access to the PlayStation Suite where content like PS1 Classics can be purchased.
This first model, which is now named Tablet S, will be available at $499 with 16GB of memory and $599 with 32GB. It has a 9.4 inch touchscreen and an NVIDIA Tegra 2 graphics chip, and supports both Wi-Fi and 3G connections.
More interesting is Tablet P, the DS-like device with two 5.5 inch touchscreens allowing users to fold it in half to carry around. That will be on sale in November though, and no pricing has been announced.
It’s no PS Vita or PS4, but PlayStation fans might some reason in picking this one up if they’ve yet to decide on a tablet.
