Following reports of harsh working conditions, unstable relations and rumors of selling assets off, Team Bondi has been placed under administration.
SmartCompany reports that the position has been in effect at the L.A. Noire dev since August 30, citing a wealth of reasons for the appointment. Not least among them are the claims of poor working conditions that demanded crunch time hours with weekend work – a story that caught everyone’s attention back in June.
Recent rumors suggested that the dev was planning on selling assets and IP to filmmaker George Miller’s studio KMM, though no comment was given from the company when asked.
According to SM – who contacted Team Bondi earlier – the company is no longer based in its usual studio, and won’t be handling media requests any more.
Cripes, this is all a bit sudden isn’t it? What does it mean for both the developer and L.A. Noire? The coming months should reveal all.
