With just a few months left to go before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hits shelves, Activision has yet to formally announce either the Hardened or Prestige editions of the game. However, we’ve already had a sneak peak at the Hardened edition. Now, a new image blows the lid right off, claiming to know exactly what will be offered in the edition.
According to a Wired image, the Hardened edition of Modern Warfare 3 will ship with a range of bonuses, but the most exciting, perhaps, is a one-year subscription to Call of Duty: Elite. This will give gamers “Founder Status,” which unlocks an exclusive in-game emblem, camouflage, player card, and a clan XP boost.
The other goodies include a disc with “unique art,” a steelbook case, a PlayStation 3 theme or Xbox 360 Juggernaut avatar, and a 100-page “field journal,” which includes military sketches, diagrams, and written entries.
No word yet from Activision about if any of this is real, but answers should come soon. The first Call of Duty convention—Call of Duty XP–lands in Los Angeles this weekend, where lots of Modern Warfare 3 details are promised.
