Nintendo is having difficulties with Wii U hardware development, rumor has it.
According to 01net (via), the issue is how the much talked about wireless controller communicates with the console itself; the streaming tech isn’t working properly, apparently, with developers being sent software updates almost daily.
Nintendo hasn’t committed to a concrete launch date for the system yet, only saying it’ll be after April 2012. This latest rumor would have us believe that the controller troubles have pushed a previously internally targeted June window to September though.
In any case, don’t expect any announcements until next year.
