Update: EA’s shot over official word of the move, confirming that the game will released in downloadable form via Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for $19.99/£15.99 or 1600 Microsoft Points. That’s cheap.
Crytek delivered the goods on GT.TV last night, confirming that their PC powerhouse, Crysis, will indeed be heading to both PS3 and 360 this year.
The announcement trailer below brought with it a swarm of gameplay footage all from the Xbox 360 version. It’s safe to say that the team has at the very least tried its most to keep the astounding graphics of the 2007 PC original intact; simply put, the game looks stunning.
But here’s the kicker – we won’t be waiting long at all to get our hands on this jungle adventure. The end of the trailer confirms that Crysis will release in October 2011. That’s close, making us wonder how the game will release. It seems a little big for a PSN/XBLA download, but also seems a little too near for a full retail release? Hopefully more details are incoming.
