Final Fantasy XIII-2 stands at 90% completion, the game’s director Motomu Toriyama revealed at a recent fan event in Tokyo. Almost there, then.
Development was said to be at 70% in June.
Toriyama also dropped some other nuggets during the fan chat: there will be over 150 monsters to raise, plus Chocobos will be rideable anywhere. In addition — hold on to your hats — expect a red Chocobo unique to the series. Boom!
XIII-2 will be out early next year. No precise dates yet, though Toriyama said Square Enix will announce it during this week’s Tokyo Game Show (September 15-18).
