Epic Games’ UDK, or Unreal Development Kit, has been available to a wide audience ever since 2009, with a massive amount of downloads following its release. Now, Mac OS X users will not only be able to enjoy the benefits of having access to the engine, but even expand on it given its support for Apple’s iOS.
A recent update will allow users and customers of the engine to release their creation across PC and Mac platforms alike, including iOS as mentioned earlier. Epic explains the kit’s development process for Mac “is virtually identical” to that of the PC, adding that it now also supports multi-Display for iOS.
“Every UDK game’s potential user base has increased dramatically yet again,” said Epic.
