We’ve seen a bunch of ways that Sony’s PS Vita will connect with the PS3, but the handheld won’t be forgetting its PSP roots, Siliconera reports.
As such, Sony has revealed that Vita can communicate with the PSP via ad-hoc play, allowing friends to keep playing PSP games together. Obviously the Vita can’t run UMDs, but this should be a welcome addition for those that coughed up the cash for a PSPgo a few years ago.
Crucially this should also mean that you’ll be able to play PSP games via ad-hoc with two Vitas. Given that system’s improved online connectivity and aesthetics, this could be a real boost for older PSP titles.
