Despite selling in excess of 734,000 units and racking up warm reviewers from critics, a sequel to Enslaved: Odyssey to the West has been shot down.
The news stems from the latest issue of Edge (via CVG), where Ninja Theory co-founder Tameem Antoniades said the team is moving forward on the next Devil May Cry game instead of Enslaved 2.
“Enslaved should have done better,” he said. “Right now we should have been doing a sequel and perfecting that sequel and doing what franchises do, which is get better over time. [But] because that didn’t happen we’ve not expanded to two teams like we intended to. So we’ve remained a smaller shop. But now we get another chance with DMC.”
A bummer for sure. Did you buy Enslaved?
