Treyarch working on “a new console”

A new project from Call of Duty: Black Ops developer Treyarch is to appear on “a new console,” a recent job ad has revealed. The studio’s put out a call for a senior software engineer who will assist in “bringing our hugely successful game to a new console.”

Details are slim of course, though the ad does say that candidates should have experience with PS3 or 360, and that they’d be adapting “graphics and other major systems in our engine to a new platform.”

Whether it’s the talked about PS Vita COD release, or a Wii U version of the studio’s inevitable 2012 title (rumored to be Black Ops 2), or one for next generation consoles remains up in the air for now.
