Fans of Transformers: War for Cybertron were more than likely crushed by Transformers: Dark of the Moon because, let’s face it, even the best can only go so far when they have to “creatively” stick to a plot already set by someone else… in a movie. History has taught us these mediums don’t mix, and not even giant, fighting robots managed to change that. While the latter of the two certainly didn’t reach the bar set by the first game, good news do come to those who wait as High Moon Studios — via Game Informer — has announced the “natural successor” to War For Cybertron; Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.
Other than the obvious fact that is the continuance of the civil war going on at Cybertron between Autobots and Decepticons, the implication of the actual title of the game and a rather dramatic alternative cover art, any details have been left out, as is usual when the magazine reveals an issue. However, expect new and all kinds of information to pop up during the month, which the inner transforming robot in you should definitely be waiting for if you’re longing for a great second game set in the world of Transformers.
