Battlefield 3‘s public multiplayer beta was a wild success, wouldn’t you know it; DICE has released a number of stats from the testing.
First off, over 8 million player participated in the beta shooting. 8, 125,310 to be exact. 1.5 billion deaths occurred in total, with 19 million of them at the end of a knife.
Another interesting figure is 635.6 meters; that’s how far off the longest headshot was recorded from. This one already has a number of challengers though; players have posted image proof (in the comments here) showing recorded headshots just shy of 1000 meters.

Battlefield 3 is out next week; Tuesday in the US, Friday in Europe.
