Link himself is traditionally a leftie – the Hyrulian hero has always held his sword in his left hand up until The Legend of Zelda: Twylight Princess introduced Wii controls to the franchise.
It’s a bit of a shame, then, that next month’s The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword won’t be including a left-handed mode. Nintendo has confirmed as much to Kotaku.
Given Skyward Sword‘s increased accuracy thanks to its dependence on Wii Motion Plus, this might cause problems for a few gamers. That’s without mentioning the sweep of motion-controlled gadgets that will also be appearing in the game. The Big N had previously said it was looking into a left-handed mode but alas, this hasn’t come to fruition.
Left-handed mode or nay, Skyward Sword hits on November 18 in the EU and November 20 in the US.
