The UK and Ireland will get a taste of popular US streaming service, Netflix, early next year.
The company has announced that these countries will be the first to see the service in Europe. While no specifics were given, a range of PCs, Macs, phones and tablets will support the service at launch, with more details coming closer to launch. Obviously we’re hopeful for console-compatible services, as Netflix is already on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and 3DS in the US.
LoveFilm already offers a similar service on PS3, but it will be interesting to see if Netflix grabs the same kind of attention in these countries as it has in the US.
