Warner Bros grabs Epic talent

Epic Games’ lead designer Eric Holmes is set to leave the Gears of War dev next month for a new job over at Warner Brothers Montreal. Holmes has been with Epic for two years following a role at Radical Entertainment where he worked on the likes of Prototype and The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.

Of his departure, he told Develop: “Sad to leave my Epic brethren and simultaneously beyond excited for the future. Can’t wait to share what we’re up to.”

A following twitter post read: “I have to promise everyone – Epic, WB, you, my girl, myself – that the game we’ll make will be more than worth it. Wish I could say more!”

Warner Brothers were of course the publishers behind the incredible Batman: Arkham City. Can we expect something of that level from Holmes and the Montreal team?
